Programs Overview at Abilities to Work

Ronia Micahel, Abilities to Work

Abilities to Work

Ronia Micahel of Abilities to Work has been working in the education, employment and training sectors since 1986. She has been working with Abilities to Work providing employment counseling, job development, project development, grant writing, and staff and project management since 2012.

Having worked for multiple organizations including post-secondary schools and not-for-profit organizations, Ronia has experience developing and managing multiple projects at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. Her post-secondary education is in business, social services, and psychotherapy.

Abilities to Work, formerly the Coalition for Persons with Disabilities, has been providing candidate recruitment and selection to employers since 1995. Their programs and services address the needs of employers to tighten the gap on the labour pool shortage by assisting businesses to hire from an untapped and highly skilled labour pool.

Ronia’s talk will focus on Abilities to work in a whole, providing insight to the programs offered through their services. She will  explore current vocational programs and trainings and discuss the programs with Abilities at work and how they could potentially benefit members.
