Beginning in 2023, BIAPH launched a research and storytelling initiative to bring forward the lived experiences of ABI survivors and caregivers from diverse communities through this dedicated photobook. Despite the significant diversity across Peel and Halton, our program data indicated that families from ethnic minority communities were underrepresented among Caregiver Relief Program participants. This project allowed us to build stronger connections with these communities and better understand how to make our supports more accessible and inclusive.
