Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Wayne State University. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Communicative Disorders Assistant from Conestoga College.
Sarah has supported individuals with acquired brain injuries in both clinical and community settings, working closely with speech-language pathologists and interdisciplinary teams. Her work focuses on functional communication, helping individuals build confidence, reconnect with others, and navigate everyday interactions in ways that feel meaningful to them.
Her interest in this field is shaped by both professional and personal experience, including supporting family members who have experienced acquired brain injury. This has given her a strong appreciation for the challenges individuals and families may face, and the importance of support that is both practical and compassionate.
Sarah is passionate about creating supportive, welcoming environments and is proud to be part of BIAPH, contributing to programs that foster connection, education, and community.
