Dr. Angela Deotto is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist registered to work with children and teens in Ontario. Throughout her years working within multidisciplinary hospital teams, Angela witnessed firsthand how profoundly a brain injury can alter the trajectory of a child’s development. She saw children whose struggles went unrecognized for months or years, and families who felt alone in navigating a system that often lacked the language to explain what their child was experiencing. Those experiences never left her.
Brain injury in childhood is uniquely complex. An injury during this critical window can ripple across learning, behaviour, emotions, and relationships in ways that may not be immediately visible but can grow more significant over time without the right support. Early identification and timely intervention are not just helpful – they are essential to giving children the best possible chance to thrive. It is this belief that drives Angela’s commitment to the families she serves. In 2025, she opened Neuro-Insight Child & Youth Psychology, a clinic dedicated to serving children, teens, and families in the Peel and Halton communities. At Neuro-Insight, she offers comprehensive services with the conviction that families deserve not only answers, but to feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
Angela joined the BIAPH Board of Directors to extend that commitment beyond the assessment room. She believes deeply in BIAPH’s mission to support survivors and caregivers in the Peel and Halton regions, and is passionate about amplifying awareness around childhood brain injury, reducing barriers to early assessment and intervention, and ensuring that no family has to navigate the path to recovery alone.
