As the Vice President of Business Development and Member Support, Geneviève leads CPA Canada’s efforts in member engagement, content creation, design and delivery, and overall operational efficiency of program and service delivery to members and stakeholders. Before joining CPA Canada, Geneviève served as the Senior Director of Finance and Technology for a large division of Rona. Her achievements include active participation in negotiating and due diligence processes for the sale and acquisition of multiple mid-size to large organizations.
With extensive teaching experience since 2002, Geneviève has been an associate professor at Ryerson University and the Royal Military College, delivering Management Accounting courses. She has also guided accounting candidates in obtaining their accounting designation. Genevieve holds the CPA designation, a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and her Master of Business Administration; Geneviève is well-versed in navigating the complexities of the business landscape. She was awarded a fellowship in 2012.
Outside her professional endeavors, Geneviève has dedicated time to extensive volunteering work with various Boards and Associations, particularly in the not-for-profit sector. Elected in 2014 as the French Catholic School Trustee for the Peel Region, she brings an in-depth understanding of governance rules and implications for School Board operations. Having served as Chair for three years and Chair of the Audit Committee for eight years, she continues to contribute to the community through guidance and advisory support to other associations, including the Audit Committee for the City of Vaughan.
