Rescheduled to Oct 28, 2020

This is what the 2019 Conference (click here) looked like…….

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton (BIAPH) we invite you a unique and practical conference experience. Health advocates can appear in many different forms, however, they are all similar in that they promote access to health care, support persons in need and ultimately assist them in navigating through services and systems. This is an event that can benefit occupational therapists, social workers, case managers, physicians, nurses, speech language pathologists, rehabilitation service providers, physiotherapists, insurers, legal professionals and any other healthcare advocate who work in the rehabilitation field.

BIAPH’s 2019 Health Advocates Education Conference took place on Friday April 26th, 2019. The conference featured speakers and panelists from the full spectrum of the health care industry including experienced and knowledgeable therapists, insurance adjusters and legal professionals.

We understand the value of knowledge and experience when it comes to being an effective clinician and the importance of expanding our awareness and skill set in order to advance our client’s interests. We appreciate the value that various professions can contribute to the advancement of rehabilitation and exploring new ideas that enhance understanding and facilitate access to resources and funding.

We invite you to attend our second annual conference. This unique learning experience which will use a multidisciplinary approach to bridge gaps in knowledge and provide helpful and practical tips and strategies on how to effectively advocate for clients and assist in ensuring that funding for treatment is provided.

This conference presents an opportunity to promote your organization and reach out to a wide variety of health care and rehabilitation professionals and advocates just as the 2019 conference did – see for yourself..

Various sponsorship packages will be available which will offer numerous marketing opportunities and enable you to network with colleagues and potential referral sources in order to advance awareness of your brand and services. More information will be posted in the upcoming months.

The conference will be held at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale (6750 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga, ON) with easy access from Highway 401, 403 and 407, close to Meadowvale GO Station and with ample on-site parking.

We hope you will save OCTOBER 28, 2020 in your calendar.
