On June 1, 2018, the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton will be pulling back the curtain on brain injuries through the Unmasking Brain Injury Project. People living with brain injuries are making the invisible, visible by unmasking their stories through a public artistic display of masks that represent their personal journeys.
June is Brain Injury Awareness Month and the Unmasking Brain Injury Project is a province-wide initiative. The project aims to increase awareness of brain injury and bring understanding of what it is like to live with a brain injury.
The Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton – BIAPH will be talking about the Unmasking Brain Injury Project and its impact on survivors, family, friends and the community at a number of events throughout the month of June.
BIAPH will be displaying the masks at different events during June.
