Fraud and scams are running rampant both in the community and online. As we have increased our use and reliance on the internet and electronic devices, we have also increased our chances of experiencing fraudulent activity or circumstances. This presentation will focus on a review of current “online” safety tips and discuss the most prevalent online scams. Especially with Covid, people are online so much more, just to pass the time and we want to remind people to be guarded with online friendships/relationships, what information is being sharing and how to protect themselves. We will also focus on online safety tips, protecting personal identity/information and then bitcoin and romance scams.
