On Wednesday April 10 the Brampton Support Group welcomed guest speaker Jack Polonsky. Jack, a behaviour therapist, spoke to us about the importance of taking care of yourself. It doesn’t matter if you’re a survivor or a caregiver, you need to take care of yourself before you can truly start feeling better and be of maximum use to anyone else. Jack took us through a group building exercise called BGNOS which gave everyone a chance to learn something about everyone in the support group. Jack walked us through many different ways of minimizing stress and maintaining a high level well being. It was a wonderful evening topped by a meditative trip to the hot and sunny beaches of Aruba.
