What is Connections?

Connections is an annual event that showcases organizations who provide community supports, services or products for persons with disabilities.

————————————————-

How is the Event Set Up?

Connections is a trade show style of event and fills the Atrium of the beautiful Living Arts Centre. Displays of accessible buses and accessible vans are hosted just outside on the expansive patio.

————————————————-

How Long Does it Run For?

It is a one day event running from 10:00am – 7:00pm. We schedule the fair into the early evening in order to accommodate families and others that would be unable to come during business hours.

————————————————-

What is the “Planning & Networking” Seminar that Runs with it?

Again partnering in this year’s event is the Peel Region Transition Planning Committee. This committee has representation from the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board as well as a number of community organizations. They will draw students to the event during the day and bring more visitors in the evening when they facilitate their “Planning & Networking” seminar.

————————————————-

Who Attends the Fair?

Visitors to the resource fair are persons with disabilities and their families. It is a great opportunity to learn about all the different resources and products that are available in their community. Similarly, individuals working in disability related fields take the opportunity to network with fellow service providers.

Is There a Cost or Registration Required to Attend?

There is no fee or need to register in order to visit the show. Organizations interested in participating as exhibitors are encouraged to read the “Exhibitor Info” page.
